I was raised in a non-religious family. Both of my parents claim to believe in (a) god, but we didn't attend church regularly. Like many American kids, I imagine, for us Christmas was about Santa and presents, Easter was about candy and large bipedal bunnies, and Halloween was about costumes and candy (but not necessarily in that order).
It wasn't until I became old enough to pay attention to news and politics that I realized that people actually took those things seriously.
It is from that perspective that I look upon the apologetics/counter-apologetics "debate".
