Suggestions for improvement

IMHO it would be nice to be able to use the Wikify template for individual sections, not just the entire article. It might also be helpful to have an optional comment field so that the person who adds the template can give some idea of what exactly is wrong.

Too often, I see the "needs wikification" message, but can't find what needs to be done to the article to improve it. --Arensb 23:31, 24 July 2008 (CDT)

Hmm. I worked on this just now. I originally used the named parameter scope for the "section" feature and an unnamed parameter for the comment. But now I think I should switch these to more closely match the way Wikipedia does it. They use an unnamed parameter to specify "article" or "section" (and default to the phrase "article or section") and have no "optional comment field" at all. Oh, well. Too late tonight (ahem... this morning) to change it now. I have to go to sleep.... - dcljr 06:40, 25 July 2008 (CDT)
OK, I've taken a kind of "middle ground" and implemented it using an unnamed parameter for "section" (keeping the default message saying "article"), and added a named parameter for the "comments" (which I called "suggest"). See the template documentation for details (hopefully clear enough). If anyone objects, I can change it to say "article or section" by default, like at Wikipedia. - dcljr 02:37, 30 July 2008 (CDT)
