River Out of Eden
River Out of Eden is a 1995 book by biologist Richard Dawkins. The book primarily discusses evolution and summarizes the work of Dawkins' previous books The Selfish Gene, The Extended Phenotype and The Blind Watchmaker. The book is illustrated by Dawkins' wife Lalla Ward. The title is derived from passage 2:10 of Genesis: "And a river went out of Eden to water the garden; and from thence it was parted, and became into four heads". It is Dawkins' shortest book.
