Politics is the process by which groups of people work together, or in opposition, to make decisions. Generally, politics refers to behavior within civil government.

The United States Constitution defines a secular government, prohibited from interfering in the affairs of religious organizations. Despite this, fundamentalists continually try to interfere in US goverment.
