Politics is the process by which groups of people work together, or in opposition, to make decisions. Generally, politics refers to behavior within civil government. Politics always employs an exercise of power.
Religion and US politics
The United States Constitution defines a secular government, prohibited from interfering in the affairs of religious organizations. Despite this, fundamentalists continually try to interfere in the US government.
