Hinduism (traditionally: Sanatana Dharma) is the oldest known religion, has no known founder, encompasses a variety of beliefs and dieties, and shares a number doctrines with similar and derivative religions like Buddhism, Jainism and Sikhism. The third largest religion in the world, it has approximately 900 million adherents (890 million in India) and may have the most diverse set of beliefs of any religion.
