The Book of Ezekiel is a book of the Hebrew Bible (and the Christian Old Testament) concerned with the preachings of the Jewish prophet Ezekiel. The prophesies it contains have been dated to between 593 and 571 BCE.
- "If I say to the wicked, 'You shall surely die,' and you give him no warning, nor speak to warn the wicked from his wicked way, in order to save his life, that wicked person shall die for his iniquity, but his blood I will require at your hand. But if you warn the wicked, and he does not turn from his wickedness, or from his wicked way, he shall die for his iniquity, but you will have delivered your soul. Ezekiel 3:18-19
- - This basically establishes a door-to-door salesman routine for those witnessing with a quota. Does one only have to witness to one person?
- "Say to them, As surely as I live, declares the sovereign Lord, I take no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but rather that they turn from their ways and live; turn back, turn back from your evil ways, for why will you die, O house of Israel?" Ezekiel 33:11
- - This seems to indicate that being a good atheist is fine.
