Christmas is usually understood as the celebration of Jesus Christ's birthday in 25th December. What many Christians fail to understand is that no one knows what day Jesus was born, and that 25 December was the date many pagan European peoples celebrated winter solstice, and it was chosen by the Roman church in the fourth Century so converted Pagans wouldn't have to change their holiday.
