Category talk:Atheist groups by region
Structure question
I'm not sure what the best format for this directory is.
One approach is like that for Atheist groups in Maryland, which is basically just a link dump. Another is like that for the Norwegian Human-Etisk Forbund or the Atheist Community of Austin, which are pages for individual groups, but they appear in the regional directory through the magic of categories.
A third approach might be to create categories (rather than pages) for each region; and if we don't have any information about a group other than a link to its web site, put that in the category description. The drawback is that groups would be listed in two separate places: if Atheist groups in Texas were a category, then the ACA and Atheist Longhorns would appear in the category listing, while the Atheist Club of El Paso With Nothing But A Link would be above that, outside of the main listing.

- I don't see a problem with being slightly inconsistent here. In other words, let Human-Etisk Forbund be a member of (only) Category:Atheist groups in Norway, which in turn is a member of (only) Category:Atheist groups in Europe. The article Atheist groups in Maryland can remain an article until somebody writes something about a specific group. At that point it can be split into articles about the groups, and a Category:Atheist groups in Maryland can be erected. - Soulkeeper 07:24, 19 September 2008 (CDT)
