By definition God is a being who is worthy of worship
The normal definition of god does not contain that property. Dogmatic theological beliefs are distinct from a definition.
In other cultures, not all gods are worshipped.
Our innate moral sense is typically superior to God's recorded actions. If God is as usually described in holy books, he is a monster who orders atrocities, stands by and lets evil happen and is unworthy of worship. Such a being is not capable of moral judgement that should be taken seriously.
None of the usual apologetics demonstrates anything like the god that this definition assumes.
